These are apps that are available for both iOS and Android (and in some cases PC) and are not very popular, although some have been downloaded in large numbers. all free and almost none of them have ads.
A few weeks ago a colleague showed me the LocalSend app. i found it brutal. It’s kind of AirDrop, open source, cross-platform compatible (most interestingly), free and ad-free. An ideal solution to send files from my Android to Mac, Windows computer, Mac to other devices…
There are many such alternatives, but LocalSend is one of the best. you just have to install application on phone and client on PC (If we want to transfer files from mobile to mobile, we just need the app).
OpenPark is an app that won’t work for everyone, but it can help you do it. another request to the community of neighbors. With this app you can open the common garage door via phone’s Bluetooth. It’s as easy as opening the app, swipe open the door and you’re done. It replaces the classic infrared remote control.
If you have a gas contract under Grupo Naturgy, Nortegas or Redexis, you can send counts via the application without having to call any phone number. What seems obvious is not so obvious: no one in my close circle knew anything about the app, and there were many surprises about the cost calculated by the company.
When it comes to travel search, Skyscanner is king. Surprise: doesn’t always have the best prices. I found the Kiwi app while searching for a flight ticket for my vacation this summer. I was able to book domestic flights at a very competitive price and higher than other trackers.
It is also an alternative that allows you to search for cheap air tickets. login automatically so we don’t have to worry about boarding passes. The application, which has a very simple interface, is free and ad-free.
This is one of the rarest and most curious apps in the compilation: used to change the sound of the car. Some of the most modern cars have the option to change the sound of the engine using the speakers via the main screen (it’s 100% artificial).
With RevHeadz, the process is interesting: I connected a WiFi/Bluetooth OBD to my car’s OBD port, connected my phone to the OBD’s WiFi network, and the app now takes all measurements in real time, including the RPM range. There’s a bit of lag in the audio since it’s wireless, but it’s pretty fun.
This is the app I would refer to for downloading wallpapers, and although it has been downloaded thousands of times in the Play Store, it is not entirely popular. My particular interest in the app is in the style of the wallpapers: The wallpapers are flat, minimalist and very well matched with the color lines of both Material You and iOS 17.
And I end with the very important web video feed. As the name suggests, this app allows you to send any URL specially designed for when you are watching a TV show, movie or content via a web player to your television and not to Chromecast.
