AYANEO Kun is a new hand machine from a Chinese specialist. Another twist on the familiar design, medium-format screen and processor from AMD’s latest notebook series.
The range of portable consoles is expanding almost every week. Nintendo continues to sell the Switch at a good pace, as does Valve the Steam Deck. Big manufacturers such as ASUS have entered the sector with their Ally, and Chinese manufacturers continue to produce new versions at a rapid pace.
AYANEO Kun will join this segment soon. Mount the screen 8.4 inches with IPS panel and FHD resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels. The dimensions of the console are 312 x 133 x 21.9mm, making it slightly wider but slimmer than the ASUS Ally. The exact weight has not yet been revealed, but it will be around 600 grams.

As regards management, includes a D-Pad and two joysticks equipped with Hall effect sensors for gameplay. The side buttons also use this type of technology, which is considered superior to optical or electromechanical detection in game controllers. It also has touchpads on both sides of the screen along with additional function keys and A/B/X/Y keys.

For the first time, AYANEO has built-in buttons on the back of the device that offer customizable functions. The device provides two Type-C ports (probably USB4), one USB Type-A and one 3.5mm audio jack connection.
The manufacturer decided on Ryzen 7000 for notebooks as a hardware engine and specifically a Ryzen 7 7840U with the ZEN4 architecture, with eight processor cores and an integrated graphics unit based on the RDNA 3 architecture with 12 computing units.

As for the battery, important in any portable machine, it has a generous capacity 75 Wh which could ensure adequate autonomy. We see various color finishes of this AYANEO Kun with the official presentation and launch scheduled for the month of August. We will update the remaining specifications and price.
