AMD has released a new generation chip for consoles. This was reported by TechSpot.

Media reporters refer to their LinkedIn profile, where an updated list of open positions appears. According to an official source, AMD will hire engineers to participate in the development of a next-generation processor. The job description states that the applicant may be in the team of developers of the RDNA graphics chip for PlayStation and Xbox consoles. According to the authors of the publication, the fact of finding employees to work on new processors is not surprising, since AMD is already preparing to create equipment for next-generation consoles. Experts suggested that the created AMD processor will appear on the next generation of game consoles – for example, PlayStation 6.

“It may seem premature to start developing equipment for next-gen systems while current consoles are still scarce, but that’s okay,” the authors write. According to journalists, the development of such large-scale projects usually takes several years.
