The Japanese manufacturer of drawing tablets Wacom has expanded its One series with four new models.
Tablet manufacturer Wacom is expanding its One series with four new additions. The Japanese company is launching two new drawing tablets with their own display and two models that still need to be connected to an external screen.
Including screen
The showpiece of this introduction is the Wacom One 13 touch (recommended retail price: 661 euros, including VAT). With this tablet you can draw on a 13.3-inch Full HD screen with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 and 100 percent sRGB coverage. You can also navigate with 10-finger multi-touch. This allows you to zoom in and out by hand like on a normal tablet. For those who find this inconvenient, there is an option to turn this feature off.
The Wacom One 12 (recommended retail price 437 euros, including VAT) also has a Full HD screen with a resolution of 1920 × 1080, but in a smaller version with 11.6 inches. The color coverage is slightly lower here at 99 percent sRGB.

The cheapest model without its own display is the Wacom One S (recommended retail price 122 euros, incl. VAT), which is the most compact pen tablet the company has ever released, with a drawing surface of 6 x 3.7 inches. The One S is also almost 7.9 mm “thick”. The device also features Bluetooth connectivity.
With a drawing area of 8.5 x 5.3 inches, the Wacom One M (recommended retail price 173 euros, including VAT) is slightly larger than the S, but this model is also 7.9 mm thick. Like the smaller version, the Wacom One M also has a possible Bluetooth connection.
General characteristics
Compatible with Windows, Mac, Android and Chrome OS, the four new tablets connect easily with a single USB-C cable. A Wacom One Pen is always included. You don’t necessarily have to use them, the One series also likes to take pens from other manufacturers.
With the environment in mind, the devices are free of petroleum-based plastics and designed to be easily repaired if necessary. In addition, the devices are packaged in an environmentally friendly manner, and even the ink on the labels is organic.
Wacom sees these models more as entry-level devices. For example, the Cintiq Pro 27 and the Cintiq 22, more of a mid-range model, are still available for more professional use.
