Google Keep is one of the best note apps available for Android, although there is always room for improvement. For example, to allow we format the text as bold, italic and the like. It’s been on the road for a long time and now, it’s finally starting to enable users.

You’ll soon be able to bring more life to your Google Keep notes using it. bold, italic, underline and headings. What’s more, it’s already activated on some lucky users’ accounts.

Richer notes in Google Keep

From the start, Google Keep has abandoned us create notes with plain text, i.e. without any format type. This is pretty common in simpler note apps. For a more complete format, you’ll need to resort to a more complete text editor such as Google Docs.

Ten years later, Rich text is coming to Google Keep it’s in the form of a formatting bar that appears at the bottom of the app when you create a note. Unlike edit history, this is available not only on the web but also in the app.

Below, by pressing the new format button next to the button to change the background of the note, we can access: three types of formatting for paragraph and three more for selected text. These are:

• H1: formats the line of text as a first-level heading.
• H2: formats the line of text as a second-level heading.
• Ah: changes the format of the line to standard, by default.
• B: Makes the selected text bold.
• you: Italicizes the selected text.
• OR: underlines the selected text.
• You: Removes formatting from the selected text.
• X: Close the format bar.

This format can be used in both text notes. as in boxed notes and with many more options than plain text, it opens the door for us to organize the content of our notes as we want.

For now, the text format is slowly being activated for some users and first for new notes. It’s expected to be expanded to cover all accounts in the next few weeks as well for existing notes.
