The President said he was sure “that new times of humanism and justice for all will come and, in particular, for the heirs of the great Mesoamerican civilization.”

For his part, Arevalo de León indicated that they had spoken with Naib Bukele about “the need to work” together “set an agenda for common issues as neighboring countries, which we are.”

Arevalo de León added that he “accepts with great humility this victory” offered by the people of Guatemala. with 59% of the total votes, according to the Supreme Electoral Tribunal.
