To mark the 32nd anniversary of Ukraine’s Independence Day, Google has released a new doodle by Kiev artist Polina Doroshenko.

As reported by Ukrinform, the company announced this on its blog.

“Today’s Doodle, drawn by artist Polina Doroshenko from Kiev, is dedicated to the Independence Day of Ukraine 2023. This national holiday honors the indomitable spirit of the Ukrainian people and commemorates all those who gave their lives for their country, including those who still struggle today.” – said the company.

It was noted that the blue and yellow flag of Ukraine, like the colors presented in today’s doodle, symbolizes the clear sky above the vast wheat fields that can be seen across the country.

It also personifies the indomitable spirit of the people, their devotion to the land and their love of freedom.

“The doodle depicts a parade of all Ukrainians showing their pride and self-confidence as they move towards the future. The company stated that this year’s Independence Day is of particular importance as the country continues its struggle against the ongoing Russian occupation.

As you know, on Thursday, August 24, Ukraine celebrates the 32nd anniversary of its independence.

Ukrainian Independence Day is an annual holiday in Ukraine, celebrated on August 24, on the occasion of the adoption of the Law on the Declaration of Independence of Ukraine in 1991. Adopted at the extraordinary session of the Verkhovna Rada of the Ukrainian SSR, this document proclaimed the establishment of an independent Ukrainian state.
