FortiSASE’s integration with some Fortinet WiFi solutions provides more options for securely connecting hybrid workers and edge situations.

FortiSASE now offers richer integrations with Fortinet WLAN solutions. With this, the solution offers additional support for organizations that want to secure their micro-branches and the equipment used in them. FortiAP Series wireless access points intelligently offload network traffic from micro branch offices to a SASE point-of-presence (PoP).

This allows for thorough security checks of all device traffic, including IoT and OT devices. The integration also allows customers to manage Fortinet wireless solutions from the cloud-based management console they already use for FortiSASE. This allows organizations to take a new approach to cloud security by extending security features like sandboxing, intrusion prevention, and URL filtering to micro-partners without the need to deploy additional hardware or services.

Fortinet has expanded FortiSASE with a new data loss prevention (DLP) cloud service powered by FortiGuard to provide comprehensive protection of sensitive data in hybrid environments. The service now supports a wider range of data IDs, file types and SaaS solutions.

SASE PoPs

The Digital Experience Monitoring Platform (DEM) supports integration with FortiSASE. Businesses can leverage comprehensive network monitoring to understand the performance of Fortinet’s global SASE PoPs and SaaS solutions such as WebEx, Office365, and DropBox.

The integration also provides endpoint monitoring to give IT teams visibility and all the information they need to reduce resolution times and ensure an optimal user experience.
