Meanwhile, at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) clarified Details of the Ingenuity rotorcraft’s 56th flight to Mars.
JPL said, “The Mars helicopter completed flight 56, flying 410 meters above the Martian surface at a maximum altitude of 12 meters. The purpose of this flight was to change the position of the helicopter.” said.
As Ukrinform reported, the Ingenuity helicopter was delivered to the Red Planet along with NASA’s Perseverance rover on February 18, 2022, after nearly 7 months of flight. Ingenuity made its maiden flight on 19 April. Helicopter worth $85 million. The United States became the first aircraft launched to another planet.
