Visionox is reportedly showing off a new display with rounded corners and ultra-thin bezels on at least three sides. The prototype panel also features enhanced refresh rate and dimming and is energy efficient with LTPO technology. The display is said to be used as a successor to the Android smartphone currently showcased at IFA 2023.

Digital Chat Station shared on the Chinese micro-blogging platform Weibo that the successor to the Honor 90 may have an even more attractive display with the new Visionox technology. This is due to the off-center dual diaphragm shown on the new Visionox concept device. The Honor 90 will also be shown at IFA 2023, in line with rumors.

Visionox demonstrated the screen in action on a new prototype device with a double hole in the front. It also reportedly uses “0.8mm BM black border” technology to reduce borders to 1.5mm thick, even at corners. This one has the same frame size as the rumored iPhone 15 Pro or Pro Max.

The new panel is said to support both DC-like and PWM dimming, with a dimming frequency of up to 3840 Hz. It also integrates LTPO technology for features like always-on display and has 1.5K resolution.

Given that this panel also covers Android smartphones, it can compete with the Xiaomi 13 (or the upcoming 14) in terms of frame size. The Xiaomi 13 has a 1.61mm bezel, which is currently one of the thinnest bezels in an Android smartphone.
