Logitech has introduced its new webcam Reach. A flexible device designed to make work much easier for users.

Logitech’s latest new webcam was called Reach, and that name wasn’t chosen lightly. The device is very flexible and maneuverable and should make work much easier for future users.

Flexibility is an advantage

This camera consists of three main components:

  • A horizontal axis that rotates 360 degrees
  • A vertical axis on which you can lower or raise the horizontal axis
  • A rotating full HD (1080p / 60fp) camera at the end of the horizontal axis

This combination allows you to conveniently move the Logitech Reach during a presentation, streaming or online meeting. Depending on your workflow, you can adjust the position and therefore the image for your viewers at any time.

The camera has an automatic lossless zoom function (4.3x). You activate this with a single press of an analogue button.

You can easily connect the Logitech Reach via USB, and the device is also compatible with all common streaming and communication platforms and computers. You have the choice between two options for placement:

  • If you want to move it easily during use, you can simply place it standing on a surface using the round base
  • If you want to keep it firmly in one place during your presentation or meeting, you can also attach the Reach to your tabletop

The whole thing is easy to operate by hand, both the movements along both axes and the camera itself. A yellow dot on the latter guides you through your actions if you hold it down.

The people decide

Logitech is currently working with Indiegogo on a crowdfunding campaign for the Reach. You can use the current product page to register for current information about a possible launch and also take part in a survey.

The labor price also appears in this survey: it would be $399. However, Logitech also mentions a possible discount (which you can also register for on this page) that would bring the Reach down to $299. There are no further specifications yet, but it appears that these are retail prices.

Earlier this month, Logitech introduced the second version of its Pebble mouse and keyboard. In May, the company also introduced the Logi Flex Dock, a two-in-one tool for the flexi workspace.
