South Korea’s Danuri space probe has taken new photographs of the Earth satellite recently reached by India’s Chandrayaan-3 mission.

As reported by Ukrinform, Yonha reported this.

Orbiting the Moon at an altitude of 100 kilometers above the surface, Danuri was photographed by Chandrayaan-3’s landing site, Shiv Shakti Point, at 7:55 a.m. on August 27, according to the South Korean Ministry of Science and Information Technology.

It was stated that Chandrayaan-3 successfully landed on the moon, approximately 600 kilometers away from the south pole, on August 23.

South Korea’s first lunar probe, Danuri, entered lunar orbit on December 27 last year after a 145-day journey from Earth and began operations on February 4, about a month after completing its test missions.

It is designed to measure the topography, magnetic strength, gamma radiation and other features of the lunar surface using six onboard instruments by the end of this year.

The orbiter will also identify potential landing sites for future lunar missions.

According to Ukrinform, the Indian space agency ISRO shared the first images sent by the Aditya-L1 spacecraft, which is heading towards the Sun as part of the star observation mission.
