“We work well with them (SpaceX – ed.) and have productive discussions. The teams are working together and, from an optimistic perspective, I think we can (grant a license for Starship) sometime next month,” the acting CEO said. FAA chief Polly Trottenberg.
But SpaceX will still need a separate environmental permit from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service before launching Starship.
Trottenberg did not specify how long it might take for this license to be granted.
