Samsung announced the creation of the largest RAM module with a volume of 1 Terabyte. The card will be built based on a 32 GB DDR5 DRAM matrix.
As reported by Ukrinform, TechRadar reports this.
Samsung’s new memory card will be based on a 12-nanometer process, and its size will be twice the size of the 16 GB DRAM module that the company has been mass producing since May this year.
The material says 1 Terabyte of memory is suitable for use in artificial intelligence (AI) and workloads involving large amounts of data.
Currently, the largest volume of Samsung memory cards is 512 GB and is produced from 2021.
The company hasn’t yet set a date for the 1TB DDR5 cards to begin production and hasn’t specified costs, but ThechRadar estimates one module could cost consumers $15,000.
As reported by Ukrinform, Samsung Electronics Co. banned employees from using artificial intelligence (AI) productive tools.
