Razer introduced the Huntsman V3 Pro keyboard at its RazerCon 2023 event. It’s another model in the large collection of high-performance keyboards that the manufacturer has in its catalog, and it’s one of the ones we like the most when hitting PC video games hard.

We had the chance to review the Huntsman V2 a few years ago and the truth is, we loved it. It actually remains to this day one of the best optical-mechanical keyboards that we tried. Now comes renewal and we simply expect more and better.

Three “flavors” for the Huntsman V3 Pro

Razer sells the v series three versions to satisfy every consumer’s taste: full-fledged Huntsman V3 Pro with numeric keypad; a smaller version without a keyboard called the Huntsman V3 Pro Tenkeyless and a compact version, the Huntsman V3 Pro Mini.

The improvements that the manufacturer has prepared for these peripherals, the triple gets from the base that it provides the second generation of analog optical switches patented by the manufacturer. The multi-function digital dial has also been redesigned to make it easier to use, and the design of the dedicated media control buttons and dual-purpose modifier keys has been updated.

In terms of appearance, Razer maintains a line of moderation and robustness, but with a premium product feel that carries over in all its parts, and lighting options with Chroma RGB technology that offers 16.8 million possible color combinations. All Huntsman V3 Pro keyboards allow players to adjust settings on the fly and Store up to six profiles directly in the keyboard’s built-in memory, which ensures that competitive settings are always within reach of the player and are independent of the machine they connect to. Of course, they can also be managed in software with the Razer Synapse application.

There are advanced features such as N-key rollover, which allows all keystrokes to be recorded simultaneously, so we can perform multiple actions at the same time. As an accessory, very useful for long hours of use, it includes a removable wrist rest that attaches to the bottom of the keyboard with a magnetic connection and is made of plush synthetic leather.
