The US Navy conducted an event called Demonstration and Shakedown Operation-32 (DASO-32). Ohio-class nuclear submarine USS Louisiana (SSBN 743) launched an intercontinental ballistic missile. At the time, the submarine was in the Pacific Ocean off the coast of California.
DOSA-32 brings the number of successful Trident II test launches to 191 since the intercontinental ballistic missile was designed (1989). This is the longest series for a large ballistic missile.
