Microsoft will not extend licenses to Russian companies

Since September 30, Microsoft Corporation has stopped issuing licenses to Russian companies.

This was reported by the head of the Presidential Office Andriy Yermak and the propaganda publication TASS, with reference to technical support of Microsoft Online Services.

Yermak announced that the company’s Russian customers will no longer be able to renew their existing subscriptions to corporate services, especially Microsoft 365.

Microsoft explained this decision as the company adhered to the sanctions regime against Russia.

At the same time, Maksut Shadayev, Minister of Digital Development of the Russian Federation, said that Russia is an “alternative to Microsoft software.” It is now planned to switch to Russian operating systems based on the Linux operating system.

Let us remind: In March 2022, the Microsoft company announced the suspension of all sales of new products and services in Russia due to a large-scale invasion.
