As IT Home writes, citing Flatpanelshd, the LG 2024 OLED TV processor has been significantly upgraded and is called Alpha 10.
LG released the Alpha 9 processor for OLED TVs in 2018. This processor series has been upgraded over the years, reaching the current Alpha 9 Gen 6 model. Also, relatively inexpensive LG TVs are equipped with Alpha 7 or Alpha 5 processors.
The new LG Alpha 10 TV chip will be much faster. The performance of the Neural Processing Unit (NPU) will be significantly enhanced with improved image analysis, noise reduction, object recognition functions and AI-based audio enhancement functions.
It is also reported that the chip will also be used in other LG smart home devices. LG will introduce the 2024 OLED TV at CES in January 2024.
