Zoomtopia, Zoom’s own conference, is currently underway. It’s the ideal opportunity to launch new products and services, such as the new AI workspace Zoom Docs.

AI continues its journey on Zoom. After the generative AI assistant Companion, the company now offers Zoom Docs. This is a flexible, modular virtual workplace controlled by artificial intelligence.

Collaboration with AI

The possibilities of Zoom Docs seem to be quite diverse. There you can create documentation, work on projects and manage data. You can also use the system to create tables or wikis and create tasks, among other things.

Zoom describes its new product as a next-generation collaboration from the ground up with AI at its core. Zoom Docs can be integrated into both the umbrella platform and third-party applications. In this way, the company wants to make it easier for teams and individual users to create, collaborate and manage projects. You can also simply use Zoom Docs to work more organized.

Sharing features

Users can start with a whole range of options such as:

  • Traditional documents
  • Wikis
  • Drag and drop content for tables, charts and images

You can also use AI to integrate elements from Zoom meetings (which you can schedule in Zoom Docs) into documents. This allows users to inform each other, initiate creations or have Zoom Companion do it, easily summarize content, or simply search for documents. During a meeting, participants can also work together on documents. With or without the support of AI.

According to CEO Eric S. Yuan, efficient collaboration and communication will always remain important in a company. With Zoom Docs, he wants to underscore Zoom’s commitment to continuing to make that human connection a reality.

Zoom Docs should be generally available next year. Last month, Zoom also introduced Notes to enable smoother collaboration before, during and after meetings.
