Australian company SPEE3D has sent seven WarpSPEE3D metal 3D printers to Ukraine for rapid production of critical spare parts for various military equipment.

According to Ukrinform, The Defense Post reports this.

“The company in Melbourne delivered metal 3D printers to Ukraine as part of the US Department of Defense initiative to improve Ukraine’s security,” the message reads.

SPEE3D shipped a batch of seven WarpSPEE3D Metal 3D Printers designed to quickly produce critical parts for a variety of military equipment.

The company’s co-founder, Steven Camilleri, accompanied by key personnel, previously trained the Ukrainian army on 3D printing of metal parts in Poland.

Each printer, worth approximately $1 million, will produce critical spare parts for Ukrainian military equipment.

“We are focused on providing the Ukrainian military with resources to enhance its maintenance and repair capabilities when and where it matters most,” said SPEE3D Vice President Chris Harris.

As reported by Ukrinform, in September Ukraine received industrial-grade 3D printers from the United States that can print spare parts for equipment on the battlefield.
