Experts from the University of Cambridge conducted a series of experiments simulating travel back in time. Experts claim that one in every four experiments is successful.

According to the magazine Physical Examination LettersThe modeling was carried out according to the principle of quantum entanglement, which applies outside the categories of classical physics. A feature of quantum physics is the assumption that when two particles are placed close enough to interact, they can remain connected to each other even if they are separate.

The scientists entangled two particles and then sent the first one to be used in the experiment. After examining the received information, the experimenter performed actions with the second particle that effectively changed the parameters of the past state of the first particle.

Currently, a quarter of the startups have been successful. However, experiments have proven that travel back in time is, in principle, possible from the standpoint of quantum physics. Scientists understand that experiments would become more effective if the photons were more carefully prepared for them.

Scientists concluded that simulations would not allow us to go back in time and change it. But they can help us create a better future by correcting yesterday’s mistakes. Source
