“Ukraine entered the final of the prestigious European award with the project “Automation of social protection of internally displaced persons in Ukraine” presented by the Ukrainian IT company “Medyrent”, the message said.
This project is the result of joint work by the Ministry of Social Policy and the Ministry of Statistics, with the support of the UN World Food Program (WFP UN). Thanks to the introduction of automatic accounting in the first months of full-scale occupation, approximately 2.5 million internally displaced persons were provided with verified assistance in a timely and quality manner.
The project has been selected for the Digital Transformation category of the European Social Services Awards 2023, an annual ceremony that recognizes outstanding achievements in social services.
Voting is ongoing to determine the winners of the award and the ministry is calling on Ukrainians to participate in the voting. You can do so by November 4 using the link.
As reported, approximately 4.8 million internally displaced persons are officially registered in Ukraine, and there are also approximately 2 million unregistered internally displaced persons.
