The new mono laser printers focus on home offices and small offices and aim for ease of use.

The entry-level models of black and white laser printers are being overhauled at Brother. The new devices all have a print speed of between 30 and 34 pages per minute and a paper tray with 250 sheets. The printers come with toners that allow you to print 700 to 1,200 sheets, depending on the model. This makes them ideal machines for SMEs with small offices or home offices. Each device supports double-sided printing.

The basic model Brother HL-L2400DW costs 109.80 euros and offers either USB or WLAN connectivity. There is a simple LCD screen (1 line) on the device for basic information. The included toner is enough for 700 prints. Optionally, you can purchase an XL version that prints 3,000 pages. The Brother HL-L2445DW (132.94 euros) is identical to the basic model, but includes a larger toner that can print 1,200 sheets. Optionally, you can purchase an XL version that can print 3,000 sheets. The printer can also print slightly faster: 32 pages per minute.

Print and copy

If you want to scan and copy, you can use the Brother DCP-L2620DW (165.17 euros). It is identical to the HL-L2400DW, but has a scanning plate at the top.

Here, too, you can choose from an EcoPro variant with the type number DCP-L2627DWE for the same price and activate the free printing option for four months. The LCD screen now has space for two lines of characters.

One level higher we find the Brother MFC-L2800DW (203.19 euros), which adds a feeder at the top that can process 50 pages. In addition, the device is identical to the DCP-L2620DW.

The top device in the newly announced product range is the Brother DCP-L2660DW (222.19 euros). This printer is the only model with a color touchscreen (2.7 inches). The scanner can process up to 22.5 images per minute and the printer has an output of 34 pages per minute. You can print up to 1,200 pages with the included toner.

The above devices are now commercially available. Each model is compatible with Brother EcoPro, the manufacturer’s print subscription.
