From the first moment WHO warned that hospital evacuation where there are from babies in incubators to critically ill patients whose continued lives depend on medical equipment, it was completely unrealistic.
WHO reiterated its call for active and immediate protection of civilians and health care, especially after 28 health workers were killed in several attacks that also targeted ambulances and various types of Palestinian medical facilities.
“The evacuation order must be lifted. International humanitarian law must be respected, which means that health care must be actively protected and never come under attack,” the WHO emphasized.
