MuleSoft’s Anypoint Code Builder is now generally available. Owner Salesforce also immediately added generative AI integrated development environment.

MuleSoft’s IDE Anypoint Code Builder is now generally available. Salesforce, owner of MuleSoft, is now equipping the system with generative AI, which we at Salesforce know better as Einstein.

Good timing

According to the “State of IT” report that Salesforce has been publishing for several years, integrations represent a major challenge for four out of five companies on the path to digitalization. In the survey, 86% of IT experts also assume that AI will play an important role in your company in the next five years.

Given these results, Salesforce said it is time to make Anypoint Code Builder generally available and deliver generative AI immediately. This is intended to speed up software development.

Einstein’s brain

Anypoint Code Builder was already able to create APIs and integrations with Visual Studio. Now developers can also generate code and integration flows using natural language prompts.

The IDE has several development tools and environments designed to provide flexibility and speed.

Salesforce now also offers solutions for certain industries, such as finance or healthcare. For example, implementations should be quicker and companies can use the Anypoint Code Builder in a targeted manner.

Availability

As mentioned, Anypoint Code Builder is now generally available for desktop. The cloud version is currently in beta and is scheduled for release in the second quarter of next year.

Einstein for Anypoint Code Builder, generative AI, is currently still a pilot project. No specific further date for a more general rollout has yet been given.

This isn’t the only recent AI announcement at Salesforce. Last month there was also news about AI-driven innovations for Net Zero Cloud.
