Lu Weibing, president of Xiaomi Group and general manager of the Redmi brand, officially announced a new brand of image sensors from Xiaomi, which translates from Chinese as Light and Shadow Hunter or “Light and shadow Hunter”.
He stated that the sensor will enable it to transmit more realistic colors, more saturated light and child details, and that power consumption will decrease by 42 percent compared to its predecessors. This means that the battery will drain much more slowly when using the smartphone camera. As a result, the smartphone will work longer without recharging.
It was previously announced that the launch of Xiaomi 14 will take place on October 26. The collaboration between Xiaomi and Leica was also mentioned, resulting in the creation of a high-end camera. Lu Weibing said that he would go to the factory to help assemble Xiaomi 14 smartphones.
Xiaomi will be the first company to launch its smartphones with its new flagship SoC Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. The second one is expected to be announced on October 26.
