South Korean technology company Samsung has proposed a new data storage option. The feature was called Temporary Cloud Backup.
Tech giant Samsung has introduced a new feature to store data backups worldwide. Temporary Cloud Backup allows users to temporarily upload data to Samsung Cloud.
Instant additional storage space
The new service can be used free of charge with a registered Samsung account. Users can load unlimited data for free and store it for 30 days via a temporary cloud backup. There is a limit of 100 GB per file. These users will also receive a notification when the thirty days are almost up. The data will then be automatically deleted.
Not all devices have this option. You must have a Samsung Galaxy phone or tablet with One UI 6 or later. The service can also vary depending on the market, says the South Korean company. The rollout will begin with the Galaxy S and Z series domestically and then take place globally
This new storage system is designed to eliminate data insecurity among Samsung users, such as when a device needs to be repaired. The temporary cloud backup does not depend on existing backups in the Samsung Cloud and there is no data overlap, the company said.
Temporary cloud backup is part of maintenance mode. This data protection feature is specifically designed to protect data during repairs.
