Israeli Communications Minister Shlomo Karkhi responded to the tycoon Elon Musk after the company said its Starlink satellite communications system would “help connect internationally recognized humanitarian organizations” and warned that the Islamic Resistance Movement (IRM)Hamas) is going to use it for “terrorist activities”.

He added that “Musk may be willing to make this conditional on the release of our kidnapped babies, sons, daughters and elderly people. All of them! Then, my office will sever all ties with Starlink“.

Musk responded that “we are not that innocent” and added that “since publication no Starlink terminal attempted to connect from Gaza. If this happens, we will take extraordinary measures to confirm that it is being used for humanitarian reasons only.”

“We will conduct a security check with the US and Israeli governments before turning on a single terminal,” the businessman added.

Elon Musk said on Saturday that SpaceX Starlink will support communication lines in the Gaza Strip with “internationally recognized aid organizations.”
