The US National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) has asked users to submit their names to be sent to Jupiter as they are unlikely to personally reach the largest planet in the solar system.
NASA plans to send the Europa Clipper automatic station to the icy moon of Jupiter in 2024. The contract for the launch of the station was signed with SpaceX several years ago.
As part of the mission, the space agency offers those who wish to send their names engraved to the moon of Jupiter. The official blog of social network X (formerly Twitter) reports:
Is visiting Jupiter on your bucket list? Let’s face it: that’s not going to happen. But we have an offer that is almost equally great! Submit your name to Europa Clipper when this brave spacecraft sets out to explore Jupiter’s icy moon in 24 years.
The post also suggests signing up for the official Message in a Bottle page to have it engraved on the spacecraft.
