According to Bloomberg, Apple is preparing to update its Mac series at the online event called “Scary Fast”, which focuses on introducing new MacBook Pros and iMacs equipped with the latest M3 series processors. The “Frighteningly Fast” description of the event could mean that we will be dealing with high-performance M3 Pro and M3 Max processors produced using one of TSMC’s N3 processes.

The focus is on MacBook Pros, which are expected to undergo significant internal improvements. These new models are expected to feature advanced M3 Pro and M3 Max processors, which is a significant step forward from the previous M2 series. The processors have undergone a major upgrade and received both general-purpose cores and graphics clusters as shown in the table.

It is also reported that the iMac is scheduled to receive an update for the first time in more than 900 days. While the exterior design is expected to retain its current aesthetic, the interior will be updated. The new models are expected to include Apple’s M3 chip, along with improved GPU configurations and a move to USB-C connectors, indicating a modernized iMac architecture.

Especially, according to Bloomberg’s report, the event gained importance because it coincided with the recovery of the PC market after the decline caused by the epidemic.

Apple’s presentation also coincides with the holiday season, a critical time for sales growth. The company intends to use its new offers to increase sales after declining sales in previous quarters. The revamped Mac lineup could play a critical role in revitalizing Apple’s Mac revenue streams while maintaining strong overall financials thanks to the iPhone.

In addition, Apple will reportedly be releasing a slew of new releases, including new MacBook Airs and updated iPads. However, according to Bloomberg, these products are planned to be released at subsequent events that will last until 2024 and beyond, indicating that Apple has a continuous product innovation and improvement strategy in its roadmap.
