This indicates that the new feature is already in the testing phase by beta users who have early access to platform news. Despite the ability to respond to any message, even from a user who is not testing the program, only those who received it in advance can use it.

WhatsApp is under fire for taking too long to send updates to its users. Many features are the last to come to the messenger, while competitors use it extensively. However, it is the most used messaging app in the world and Brazil is a large consumer audience.

For example, Instagram has had this feature for a long time. Initially, it was possible to simply like a post by double-clicking on it, as is done in the photos in the application. An update was then sent whereby when a user taps and holds on a message, they can respond with different emojis that represent emotions.
