Telegram is the best alternative to WhatsApp in the instant messaging application group. What was initially little more than a more secure WhatsApp clone eventually became a very complete piece of software. In fact, it has always been ahead of Meta software in features, technology, security and privacy, and it also has hundreds of millions of users using it daily.

We’ve recommended it for years and actually use it for its advanced features as a communication platform to bring you feeds from six of our portals, from MC to MCPRO, including of course verylinux where we launched it. In short: you also have the best of our house on Telegram.

To avoid on Telegram

Like any other application (and even more so massively used, where some valve at their pleasure and the displeasure of the rest) has rules and guidelines for users to follow. Failure to follow these guidelines may result in your phone number being banned from the platform. Some of these reasons are:

Spam. It’s spamming to a wide audience, usually trying to promote something. Telegram has a strict anti-spam policy in its terms of service and uses systems to block spammers. If you are found to be spamming, Telegram may block your account.

frauds. Another form of abuse that the platform does not tolerate. Fraud is an attempt to trick other users into giving you money, personal information, or access to their accounts. This includes phishing, spoofing, fraud or malware.

Violence. Telegram allows users to create public channels and bots that can reach a wide audience. However, with this comes the responsibility to respect the laws and rights of others. The platform does not allow the use of its service to promote violence on public channels or bots. This includes activities such as hate speech, terrorism, extremism or criminal activity.

For nothing. The platform usually respects the privacy and freedom of expression of its users. However, it has rules for the type of content you can share. Although you can share adult content between private chats, you cannot post it on public channels.

Age limit. Telegram requires a minimum age to register on its platform. The app has a 12+ rating in the app stores. However, some jurisdictions such as EU countries and the UK require users to be at least 16 years old to use the Platform.

Avoiding Telegram bans is easy by following the minimum standards of education, respect, and compliance with the terms of service that the platform has, as with all software.
