On Friday, space company SpaceX broke its own record for reusing rockets. A Falcon 9 rocket launched 23 Starlink Internet satellites into orbit from the launch pad of the Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral, Florida.

The launch took place on November 3, 2023 at 20:37 EST. This was the unprecedented 18th launch of the Falcon 9 first stage, according to the mission description on SpaceX’s website.

The first stage of the SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket will land on the “A Shortfall of Gravitas” unmanned spacecraft following the launch of 23 Starlink satellites on Friday, November 3, 2023. It was the record 18th landing for a launch vehicle

The launch was successful, and the company reported that 23 Starlink satellites have already been placed into orbit.

Meanwhile, the launch vehicle’s first stage successfully landed on an autonomous floating platform called A Shortfall of Gravitas in the Atlantic Ocean, several hundred kilometers off the coast of Florida.
