The service was created in a few days. The site is written in PHP, has a large number of necessary modules for parsing – Go, Python. Third-party search engines were also used and the infrastructure was deployed on Amazon.
The site was developed by the FAVBET Tech team.
The site finders.in.ua will help you find relatives, friends or acquaintances you have lost contact with anywhere in Ukraine. Here you can share information and follow the changes in the situation of missing persons. We have focused on the last few weeks. “The list of people who evacuated the temporarily occupied territories and Russia,” said Artem Skrypnyk, CEO of FAVBET Tech.
Most of the contact lists were compiled from hand shelters, telegraph channels and other sources provided by SES and volunteers. In addition, a Telegram bot has been created, where people have the opportunity to leave a request to search for a person and receive notifications when information appears in the database.
“Most of the time it was spent solving the problem of digitizing the lists of those who were in the bunkers or left the occupied cities. In addition to the printed lists, we had tens of thousands of handwritten lists, photographed in different handwriting, in different lighting, and photographed. Some photos asked more questions than they answered. But in just a few hours I found about 10 people in the company who were willing to help with digitization. Together with them we started developing flows, creating templates for lists and creating instructions for them. who digitizes.” , – said Sofia Drapey, Program Manager FAVBET Tech.
If you have information without communication or electricity about lists of evacuees or those still in bomb shelters – forward the data to the Finders team (support@finders.in.ua). Databases are constantly updated. More than 50,000 people are currently missing from the base.
We believe that Ukrainians who lost contact with their relatives will be found.
