The Chinese company Poco has launched a new phone. The C65 is a budget device aimed primarily at Generation Z.
Poco, a Chinese phone brand formerly owned by Xiaomi, has launched a new budget device for Generation Z. The company was launched as a Xiaomi brand in August 2018, but has been operating globally as an independent company within the group since November 2020. The C65 is the seventh device in its C series.
The Poco C65 features a 6.74-inch Gorilla Glass LCD display and a refresh rate that can be adjusted up to 90Hz to support apps. The screen also includes:
For filming and photography, you get a triple 50MP AI camera setup, with the main camera having 10 film filters and a film frame. The 8 MP selfie camera has a soft light ring that is intended to ensure a successful portrait in all lighting conditions. The interface has been improved and features an intuitive zoom in and zoom out ring.
Other image options include:
The device is powered by a 5000 mAh battery that you can charge at 18W. Inside you will also find a MediaTek Helio G85 octa-core processor, which is said to provide CPU speeds of up to 2.0 GHz. This is in contrast to the parent company Xiaomi, which will be the first to work with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.
The storage capacity can be expanded up to 1TB. As far as storage is concerned, you can expand the 8GB+256GB variant to 16GB RAM and for the 6GB+128GB variant you can expand it to 12GB RAM.
If you’re already counting, the Poco C65 will be available starting November 20th. For the Belgian market this is only the 8GB+256GB version, with a recommended retail price of 169.9 euros, including VAT. The Dutch market will also receive the 6GB+128G version. The recommended retail price is 149.9 euros including VAT.
The C65 is available in three colors: black, blue and purple. Poco notes that price and availability may vary depending on market and distribution channel. Parent company Xiaomi itself brought the 13T and 13T Pro onto the market at the end of September.
