The Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine has created a short instruction. This will help Ukrainians be able to use the internet even during long power outages.

What should be done

All residents of Ukraine use one or another Internet provider. The Ministry of Digital Affairs advises Ukrainians to ask providers of these services whether they have switched to xPON technology.

If the provider has not switched to xPON, you should find the nearest provider providing such services and apply for connection. The Ministry of Statistics states that Ukrainians can cooperate with their neighbors to speed up this process.

After that you need to buy a power bank and a USB/DC cable. They are needed to turn on the Wi-Fi router if there are power outages.

How can this winter be

• Estonian intelligence chief Ants Kiviselg recently said that this winter in Ukraine will also be difficult. He predicted that Russia would strike critical and civilian infrastructure again this year to leave Ukrainians without electricity.
• Earlier, GUR representative Vadym Skibitsky warned that with the onset of cold weather, active bombardment from Russia may begin, since during this period the load on the power system will increase. According to him, the types of enemy attacks may be different, but the tactics of the invaders will no longer be as primitive as last year.
• Let us remind you that NSDC Secretary Oleksiy Danilov also believes that this winter period will not be easy. It reminded us that Russia is stockpiling missiles to bomb and harm us.
