The maneuver was carried out on Friday, November 17.
Using its main engine, JUICE changed its orbit around the Sun to reach the correct orbit.
The maneuver lasted 43 minutes. In total, almost 10% of the spacecraft’s entire fuel supply was burned.
As reported by Ukrinform, the European Space Agency (ESA) launched the Ariane 5 launch vehicle on Friday, April 14, with the JUICE mission to study Jupiter and its moons in space.
Its aim is to make detailed observations of the giant gas planet and its three large moons, Ganymede, Callisto and Europa, along with the oceans.
