Additionally, 6.6 terabytes of data containing passwords stolen by various information shapers such as Redline, Vidar, Taurus, Raccoon, Azorult and Cryptbot were also examined. This allowed experts to classify the most common passwords by platform type; because shaper logs contain many different data.
As a result, it became the most common password in the world in 2023 “123456”. While it maintained first place in 2021 and 2020, it fell to second place last year.
