A woman sued the mayor of New York this Wednesday. Eric AdamsBy alleged sexual assault which dates back to 1993, when a Democratic politician served in the US State Police Department.
The plaintiff, whose identity has not been established, requested five million dollars in compensation in a civil suit filed in New York State Supreme Courtin Manhattan, according to media reports Political.
In the document, the woman claims “physical, psychological and other injuries” were caused that could constitute an alleged sex crime under the Adult Survivorship Act, which allows a lawsuit to be filed even if the crime is alleged.
Adams, who serves as mayor after winning the 2021 election over his Republican challenger Curtis Sliwa, reacted to the news.
