MSI Prestige AI makes the long-awaited leap to Intel Core Ultra

It was almost nine years since the arrival of MSI Prestige on the marketback in April 2015. This family, made up mainly of notebooks, but also able to accommodate other types of devices, always reflects its own philosophy in its specifications, which is perfectly described by its name, and which we can sum up as premium, both in the selection of components that are form, and from the point of view of their design.

from his side Yesterday, Intel announced the launch of its long-awaited Core Ultraintegrated, aimed especially at the market of notebooks and low-power devices, and which become a practical and highly anticipated application of Meteor Lake, a platform that Intel introduced last September, which combines high performance with specialization with many new features related to Raptor Lake. in certain types of tasks that are already quite common today and will undoubtedly increase in the future.

One of the technologies that Meteor Lake offers specific support for is artificial intelligence, and at this point I don’t think it’s necessary to detail how important this has become on a daily basis. At MSI, of course, they are fully aware of this to the extent that they have given artificial intelligence a huge specific weight in this renewal of their premium line, presents its three new MSI Prestige AI notebooks.

MSI Prestige makes the long-awaited jump to Intel Core Ultra

Specifically, there are three presented models Prestige 16 AI Studio B1V, Prestige 16 AI EVO B1M and Prestige 13 AI EVO A1M. As you may have already guessed, the first two have a 16-inch screen, which in both cases can be OLED with UHD+ resolution (3,840 x 2,400 pixels) or IPS with QHD+ resolution (2,560 x 16,00 pixels). The Prestige 13 AI has a 13.3-inch display with 2.8K OLED (2,880 x 1,800 pixels) and IPS FullHD+ (1,920 x 1,200 pixels) options.

For 16-inch computers, MSI limits the integrated ones Intel Core Ultra 9while the 13.3-inch can be scaled up to Intel Core Ultra 7. All three models can be connected up to 32 gigabytes of LPDDR5-6400 RAM (although in the Prestige 13 AI the maximum will be conditioned by the choice of CPU and memory) and NVMe PCIe Gen4 storage. The graphics part, also of three, falls on the Intel Arc GPU integrated into the Core Ultra APU, although in the MSI Prestige 16 AI Studio, aimed mainly (but not only) at creators, we can choose more advanced graphics, up to GeForce RTX 4070.

Although the first of the teams does not have it in the name, in fact These three notebooks are part of the Intel EVO platform, that is, they integrate APUs compatible with the said certification and offer everything that the standard defines in terms of performance, connectivity, efficiency, etc., to guarantee a first-class experience. All, as you can see in the pictures, wrapped in undeniably attractive designs.

As previously hinted, the fact that Core Ultra marks the arrival of Meteor Lake means that these are the brand’s first integrated devices with an NPU, which also relies on other elements of the chip to offer advanced features in AI-related tasks. Engine MSI’s AI enginewhich will be available to users in a few weeks, will be mainly responsible for transferring the potential of AI into the everyday use of these new MSI Prestige, making this technology one of the pioneers in the jump to AI in the clienta revolution that has just begun.
