GeForce RTX 3050 6GB price and release date

A few months ago, we found out that NVIDIA is preparing a GeForce RTX 3050 configured with 6GB of graphics memory, a version of the current 8GB model that will have lower price and also lower performance. We’ve already seen its specs and given you an estimate of its possible performance, though we didn’t have solid details on its possible launch date and price.

A new leak sheds a bit more light on these two issues, and thanks to it we know that the launch of the GeForce RTX 3050 with 6GB could happen in February 2024and that its selling price will be 179 dollarsnumber that could happen in Spain 198 euros including VAT. This number would put it just a little below the price of the 8GB GeForce RTX 3050, so it would have a hard time finding its place in the market.

Keep in mind that NVIDIA has not yet confirmed the retail price, so the GeForce RTX 3050 with 6GB may arrive in Spain at a lower cost. That would be a total success, as it is clear to me that for this graphics card to be really attractive with the market conditions that we have right now. It should cost a maximum of 150 euros.

Before that, the GeForce RTX 40 Super, an update to the current generation of NVIDIA graphics cards, will hit the market. throughout January, and will consist of three different models: GeForce RTX 4070 Super, GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super and GeForce RTX 4080 Super. The first two will be the most interesting for the price/performance ratio and the degree of improvement they will offer over the standard models.

Returning to the GeForce RTX 3050 6GB, the performance is more than acceptable play in 1080p resolution thank you especially for supporting NVIDIA DLSS Super Resolution. Before I finish, I will remind you what will theoretically be yours final specifications:

  • GA107 GPU (Amp) in 8 nm.
  • 2048 shaders at 1470 MHz (base frequency).
  • 64 texturing units.
  • 32 raster units.
  • 16 second generation RT cores.
  • 64 tensor cores of the third generation.
  • 96-bit bus.
  • 6 GB of GDDR6 memory at 14 GHz.
  • 70W TGP. You won’t need a powerful power supply and you won’t need an additional power connector either.
