How much data has the Internet produced in 2023?

This is the 11th annual report titled “Data Never Sleeps.” This year, analysts also added artificial intelligence to their category. ChatGPT, which receives nearly 7,000 requests per minute due to the rapid development of neural networks, was also included in the list.

The list also includes all the world’s main social networks and messengers, but entertainment, as before, takes the top spot. For example, if you add up all users of streaming services at the time of viewing, one minute of time will equal 43 years of content. Here is some interesting data the researchers collected:

• 360,000 tweets are sent on social network X.
• 6.3 million queries are made on Google.
• 41.6 million messages are sent on WhatsApp.
• 30 DDoS attacks are being carried out.
• 694,000 short Reels videos are posted on Instagram.
• 3,720 people download Meta’s new social network called Threads.
• Users watch 48,000 hours of content on Twitch.
• 241 million emails are sent.
• People spend 25.1 million hours searching for information on the global internet.
• 4 million likes appear under posts on Facebook.
• 6944 requests were sent to ChatGPT.
• 455 thousand dollars are spent on purchases made on the Amazon website.
• 102 megabytes of data are created by the average Internet user.
• 69.4 thousand users are listening to Taylor Swift songs at the same time.
• 747 apartments were booked by users of the Airbnb service.
