Of course, it’s not the only one, but Steam is undoubtedly the number one digital game store worldwide. There are several reasons that can be used to explain this, but it would be unfair not to acknowledge that Valve has been doing an excellent job for many years. I’m not saying it was perfect, of course, because even the best notary makes mistakes (and even two or three), but if we analyze the history of successes and failures, we see that the former are the overwhelming majority.

However, the fact that there are rivals is very positive, as it happens in practically every market. From those who are eager to improve what Valve has to offer, as Epic Games has been trying to do for some time now (unsuccessfully in my opinion), to those who have some differentiating factor that makes them unique, like GOG , which recreates classic games and is also DRM-free, or Itch.io, which specializes in indies and has the recognition and affection of a large community.

We are a few days away from the end of 2023 and like other services Steam also allows us to review our activity in relation to the platform in a full summary: games, hours, achievements… lots of interesting information to confirm if you’ve played as much (or as little) as you thought, where that leaves you compared to the rest of Steam users, your longest streak days of gaming… interested in checking it out? Well, here we tell you how.

To check your Steam stats for 2023 You can do this through the Steam client or through the web. In the first case, when you open the application, a large banner will appear at the top with a button to access your summary. However, if you want to view it on the web, you can do so by clicking here. Of course, if you haven’t logged in before, you’ll need to do so now

Once you’ve done this, with your user session already running, or if you’ve accessed from the Steam client, you’ll now see the main page for your 2023 summary:

When you start browsing it, you will find:

• The number of games you played in 2023.
• Total number of achievements achieved.
• The longest streak of consecutive days you’ve ever played.
• The three games you played the most, with the percentage of time compared to the total and the number of game sessions.
• Comparative analysis of your activity with respect to the platform average.
• Percentage of games you played were pitches.
• A spider chart of the types of games you spend the most time on.
• Other characters.
• Specific information about some of your most played games in 2023.
• The games you played during your longest streak.
• The total number of games you played in 2023.
