In the crowded world of headphones, Teufel comes to us to introduce what has become its flagship headphone, the Real Blue Pro. This device proves to be an option that not only offers exceptional sound, but also includes advanced features for a complete listening experience.
Real Blue Pro is a premium closed-back Bluetooth headphone that strives to impress your ears, enveloping you in unparalleled comfort and featuring active noise cancellation technology that redefines silence. We’ll see what Teufel brings us again.
After opening the box we find the following:
Dimensions | 15.2 x 18.8 x 8.2 cm |
Mass | 296 g |
Compatibility | Android, iOS, Mac OS, Microsoft | Mimi |
Bluetooth | AAC, aptX, 5.1 |
Autonomy | up to 56 hours without ANC, 44 hours with ANC |
Frequency range from/to | 10 – 21,000 Hz |
One of the pillars on which these headphones stand is the noise cancellation technology. With a combination of active and passive cancellation, they offer an immersive experience adaptable to your environment. It has three intensity levels and a transparency mode, so you can immerse yourself in total isolation or stay connected to your surroundings and listen to the sound outside without having to stop the music.
We were able to test them on a long bus trip, with the noise of the rest of the passengers, the engine, etc. And the truth is that you really felt isolated, in the best sense of the word. The small thing is that the button to turn on the active noise cancellation is on the back of the headset, and if you have your head resting on the backrest, for example, you can accidentally press it.
In addition to this ANC button, we find other buttons and a joystick on the back, with which we can pause and resume music, move the song, go to the previous one, pick up and hang up calls, etc. Details that give you full control over what you listen to, even when you don’t have a broadcasting device in your hands. They also include an automatic playback pause when the headphones are removed, however, at least in my experience, it occasionally failed. Just in case, I’d rather manually pause the joystick to make sure I don’t miss a second of the podcast on the service.
But if the Real Blue Pro really boasts something, it’s the quality of its sound. They are equipped with 44mm HD linear drivers and offer balanced and detailed sound reproduction. They have smooth highs, accurate mids and deep bass, which is the perfect combination for enjoying quality sound. You can really immerse yourself in the music you are listening to.
In terms of connectivity, the Teufel Real Blue Pro has Bluetooth 5.1, Qualcomm aptX Adaptive and AAC so you can enjoy music in HD quality from platforms like Spotify, Amazon Music, YouTube and many more. In addition, as we are already used to from the brand, it has lip sync, which guarantees perfect matching of the sound of videos and with a range of up to 30 meters, so you can move around the house in peace. without losing connection.
Autonomy is another aspect in which the Teufel Real Blue Pro excels. They have more than 56 hours of battery life without ANC and more than 44 hours with ANC, so you can use them for several full working days (for some type of measurement) without worrying about running out of battery. Plus, a 30-minute quick charge will give you 9.5 hours of use. However, you always have the option to connect them via the Jack and use them as wired headphones, this way the Bluetooth functions will be disabled and you can continue to use them without problems.
For phone calls, it has high-definition microphones and, according to the brand, a special algorithm that reduces wind and ambient noise so that your voice stands out even in the noisiest of environments. The result we could verify is that they work quite well for calls and the sound quality is quite good.
When it comes to ergonomics, after prolonged use we can say that they are light and the over-the-ear design makes them very comfortable even after hours of use. Large, soft and ventilated memory foam pads are replaceable and ensure low contact pressure even for spectacle wearers. The inside of the headband above is covered with the same material.
As for the design, it is clear that we are expecting a premium device, with careful design and quality materials. The very careful design and the fact that they are comfortable and light make the Teufel Real Blue Pro the perfect headphones for use at home and outside. They have the detail that we already see in most devices of this type, that the headphones rotate and can lie on our neck/chest. This way you won’t have to take them off at all.
Control in your hands with the Teufel Headphones app
The Teufel Headphones app is the control center for Real Blue Pro. From there, you can customize the EQ and use the ShareMe feature, which lets you wirelessly connect two headphones to the same smartphone. The app also allows you to adjust the sound modes, configure the buttons and joysticks on the headphones and customize the touch controls according to your preferences.
The app, common to all the brand’s devices, includes a default equalizer list where you can choose from a list of simple options that create the optimal settings for what you’re listening to: podcast, techno, pop, treble boost, rock, classic, custom, neutral and bass notes. For most music lovers, there may be more equalization options missing that go a little beyond that predetermined categorization.
One detail I found remarkable about the app is the Mimi Sound feature, which uses a small test to measure your hearing and the app adjusts the sound to suit you, compensating for mild and severe hearing losses. This means that every detail of the music, voice and sound effects is tailored to your individual listening needs.
