Nomeo has received a government contract from Belnet to manage domain names for higher education institutions, research centers and government services. Both parties have been working together since 2016.

What do organizations like VRT, Sciensano, Katholieke Hogeschool Vives, Province of East Flanders, University of Antwerp, Infrabel and Imec have in common? They are all connected to the Internet via the Belnet network and their domain names are managed in collaboration with Nomeo. This has been the case since 2016 and will continue to be the case for the next four years.

Nomeo, a Ghent-based company offering web hosting services, announces in a press release that it has won the government contract from Belnet. This will enable Nomeo to manage the domain names of government services, educational institutions and research centers for the next four years. In total there are more than 9,000 domain names and more than a hundred endings. The contract is worth around 200,000 euros.

Private label

Belnet uses Nomeo’s private label services. Belnet customers can register and manage domain names through the trusted environment. The underlying automation is used to communicate with the registry, control name servers and set up services via the Nomeo software.
