In November last year, SpaceX began selling third-generation Starlink antennas in the United States for $599. Now the first user reviews of the new product, designed to connect to the company’s satellite internet, have appeared online.

According to customer reviews, the third-generation Starlink antenna does not raise the bar for maximum Internet connection speed. Instead, the device does an excellent job of providing maximum broadband internet speeds for long periods of time. “I noticed that I got faster speeds and a more stable connection with my Gen 3 device, especially in the evenings. The Gen 3 antenna provides speeds from 300+ Mbps to 100 Mbps during peak hours,” says one source. Users of the new antenna say

Previously, when the same user used the second generation Starlink antenna to connect to the Internet, the connection speed was usually 150 Mbit/s and could drop to 50-10 Mbit/s during peak hours. “I’ve been using the new antenna for about a month now and it’s great. If I had to say something negative, I’d say I don’t like the new mount the bell comes with. Otherwise, I think the upgrade is worth it in my case,” the user added.

Similar comments from early buyers of the new Starlink antennas also appeared in the Reddit community. One of the owners noted that the device provides a maximum connection speed similar to the first-generation terminal, but is much more stable. “I got 300Mbps speeds a few times on Gen 1, but usually 200Mbps or less. “With the Gen 3 antenna, I get speeds between 290 and 303 Mbps most of the time,” wrote one Starlink user.
