They publish another 300 pages about the Jeffrey Epstein case.

The New York Department of Justice released this Thursday the second batch of court documents relating to the deceased financier. Jeffrey Epsteinaccused of human trafficking and sexual abuse of minors after he began declassifying several files Wednesday.

The new package includes a total of more than 300 pages. As last Wednesday, among the documents there is witness statements, emails submitted as evidence and other court records.

The documents are part of a defamation lawsuit filed in 2015 by Virginia Giuffre, one of Epstein’s main accusers, against his former lover and partner, British heiress Ghislaine Maxwell. currently sentenced to 20 years in prison for helping a financier commit sexual abuse of minors.

The files confirm Epstein’s connections to prominent figures such as Prince Andrew of England or former President Bill Clintonalthough many of the names mentioned are expected to already be known, either because they were identified in the 2021 lawsuit against Maxwell or because they have already been interviewed or the subject of complaints.

In addition, being mentioned in documents, does not imply any type of guiltas they include everything from anecdotes told by witnesses to lists of potential interviewees.

Judge Loretta Preska of the federal court for the Southern District of New York ordered that, effective January 1, documents previously sealed be made public and that include the personalities of more than a hundred people. (EFE)
