Support for Android apps in Windows 11 is now available
The bad news is that this is currently only available to US users.
According to Microsoft, Windows 11 users in France, Germany, Italy, Japan and United Kingdom may start using Android apps on the operating system later this year, but the company did not name specific dates. This may be disappointing for users in other countries, as support for Android apps in Windows 11 was one of the major innovations introduced when the company officially announced the operating system in 2021.
One downside of the Amazon Appstore on Windows 11 is the extremely limited number of apps available for download. Microsoft says it is aware of this and has already confirmed that the number of apps available in the store will increase monthly, which is good news for users.

In addition to confirming support for Android apps in Windows 11 in other regions, Microsoft has also mentioned that it is working on some improvements to the Microsoft Store, such as support for restoring apps from the library in the store (image below). This can be useful when a user buys a new PC, as they don’t have to spend time reinstalling applications one by one.
