Deloitte introduces AI chatbot for employees

The consulting firm Deloitte is providing its more than 75,000 employees with access to PairD, a self-developed AI chatbot for internal use. The company wants to increase employee productivity.

The internal AI chatbot PairD, developed by the company’s own AI institute, was launched for Deloitte employees in the UK back in October. Now more than 75,000 employees in Europe and the Middle East would have access to this AI tool. The aim is to increase employee productivity and automate certain tasks. However, employees are required to exercise due caution and control.

AI in the workplace

A recent report by Deloitte showed that barely seven percent of the Belgian population uses AI tools in the workplace. This value is significantly lower than the number of people who use the devices privately. Nevertheless, Deloitte consultants are jumping on the AI hype bandwagon and offering companies help with the professional use of AI.

What is the best way to communicate the added value of AI within the company instead of applying it internally? Deloitte has developed its own AI tool called PairD that employees can use to automate certain tasks. This primarily involves creating PowerPoint presentations, emails and codes as well as conducting surveys and creating meeting plans.

Focus on accuracy

Introducing the PairD tool for internal use also comes with the necessary training and care. Employees must first complete a training module before they can use the AI tool. In addition, they are reminded to handle the model carefully and carefully.

Costi Perricos, head of generative AI at Deloitte, emphasized that PairD is part of the company’s long-term AI investment plans. They continue to explore the potential that AI has for the company, their customers and society in general.
