Asus is renewing its ExpertBook B3 laptops with new internals from Intel. The newly announced Core Ultra processors power the largest of the new business laptops.
Asus announces the renewal of its ExpertBook B3 series at CES. The manufacturer is not behind its competitors and is also installing new Intel Core Ultra processors inside, although this is only a sub-series that receives the new chips. These devices can be configured with up to an Intel Core Ultra 7 with integrated graphics capabilities.
Asus is bringing three models onto the market: The ExpertBook B3404CVA and B3404CVF are 14-inch devices. The latter is available with a (somewhat outdated) Nvidia RTX 2050 GPU. However, these two laptops do not have Intel Core Ultra, but are equipped with older thirteenth generation Intel Core i chips.
The ExpertBook B3404CMA is the 16-inch model in the series. Asus offers new Core Ultra chips for this laptop, in both the “U” and “H” variants. Graphical violence is created by the integrated arc graphics. This 16-inch laptop features a numeric keypad.
Specifications
All ExpertBook B3 are equipped with a 16:10 screen. You always have the choice between FHD or WQHD resolution, with or without touch functionality. Asus relies on classic IPS technology. The devices can be configured with up to 32 GB of RAM and support the new WiFi 7 standard if they are equipped with the new processors. 4G LTE is also available. Asus also offers USB Type-C with Thunderbolt 4.
Like all other laptops announced during this period, Asus touts AI capabilities for productivity and collaboration. Here too you will find intelligent noise cancellation during your video calls. For these video calls, Asus gives you the choice of a 720p webcam, which we think is outdated, or an FHD camera with Windows Hello functionality. A physical cover is standard.
Asus has already launched new Chromebooks with Intel Core Ultra on board. Asus announced in December that the ExpertBook B5 series would also be equipped with Intel’s latest chips and 16:10 screens, although this does not apply to all models. As with the ExpertBook B3 series, Asus also uses 13th generation Intel Core i chips for the ExpertBook B5 devices.
